Welcome!
Smells Like Fiction is primarily the home of my blog. In a former life, it was This Little Pig (random blog topics before I was so focused on fiction), and WAY back it was called Sweet Domesticity (Ha!). The name Smells Like Fiction came from a post about the idea that one starts with raw talent, gains enough skill to become half baked, and is eventually well done. I hope my fiction smells more like freshly baked bread, not like raw chicken.
I follow a flexible blog plan, but generally, this is what you’ll get:
- Monday – book reviews
- Tuesday – random, as in whatever’s on my mind
- Wednesday – writing lessons (what I’m learning on my writing quest)
- Thursday – seasonal topics
- Friday – technology
The Amazon book carousel at left is an ad, but I chose the products and they’re all books I’ve read or will soon be reading. Yes, I get a tiny cut if you click through to Amazon and buy the book. No, I don’t get anything from Amazon if you just visit my site. If I ever review a free product, I will practice full disclosure.
